HONE’s journey began in 2019 with the thoughtful renovation and two-storey extension of this 1930s Art Deco semi-detached family home in Hawthorn.

The brief was to retain the home’s architectural character while transforming it into a light-filled, functional space for modern family life. Working within the existing fabric, we balanced restoration with innovation—introducing new materials and spatial strategies that complement the original design.

Constructed during the challenges of the global pandemic, this project is a testament to resilience, collaboration, and craftsmanship. The result is a timeless blend of classic and contemporary—designed for today, with the quality to endure tomorrow.
